What an inground pool costs around OKC
Two kinds of sources publish OKC pool prices: builders, who list ranges for the work they do, and estimate sites, which model typical costs. Both are below, labeled. Neither is a quote. Size, shape, soil, access for equipment and the deck change the final number.
A local builder's published tiers
Elite Outdoor Living, an OKC company, publishes these installed ranges including equipment and startup (Elite Outdoor Living OKC pool cost guide):
| Tier | Published range |
|---|---|
| Basic vinyl liner pool | $36,000 to $65,000 |
| Mid-range gunite pool | $65,000 to $95,000 |
| Premium gunite pool | $95,000 to $150,000 |
| Ultra-luxury installation | $150,000 to $300,000+ |
Estimate-site figures (estimates)
PriceAPool, a cost-estimate site, lists these 2026 estimates (PriceAPool Oklahoma estimates):
| City | Gunite | Fiberglass | Vinyl |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oklahoma City | $73,000 | $55,000 | $44,000 |
| Norman | $70,000 | $53,000 | $42,000 |
| Edmond | $70,000 | $53,000 | $42,000 |
The same site says Oklahoma pool permit fees typically run $800 to $1,500 (PriceAPool Oklahoma estimates). That is the site's estimate; Norman's own FAQ lists a $50 pool permit fee plus tax and, in some cases, an $80 erosion control fee (Norman swimming pool FAQ (Apr 2026)). Ask your builder what permit costs are in the quote.
What to compare between quotes
- Pool type, interior finish, depth and square footage.
- Deck material and square footage. Norman counts new paving toward impervious coverage fees (Norman swimming pool FAQ (Apr 2026)).
- Fence or barrier work needed to pass inspection. See barriers.
- Electrical work, which needs its own permit and inspections in Norman (Norman swimming pool FAQ (Apr 2026)).
- Heater, automation, lighting and any spa.
